Who we are

LUM is a slow fashion brand rooted in reverence , for heritage, for craftsmanship, and for the quiet power of handmade things.
Born between Paris and the highlands of Mexico, LUM exists to honor the artistry of Indigenous textile traditions and the women who carry them forward.

Founded by Stephany Vaussanvin, a Mexican-American mother living in France, LUM is both a personal journey and a collective one, a bridge between cultures, generations, and ways of life.
Our collections are designed in Paris and brought to life in collaboration with master artisans in Mexico, using time-honored techniques like backstrap weaving, pedal loom, and embroidery.

We create in small batches, with intention and care; garments that carry stories, made to be worn, cherished, and passed on.
LUM means "earth" in Tsotsil, and it also whispers lumière — light. This is our essence: grounded in tradition, illuminating the future.
